Fallon Preschool offers 2 distinct programs.

 
 

  LANGUAGE ARTS    
  Enable students to:
recognize the letters of the alphabet.
begin identifying the sounds associated with each letter.
begin writing their names using Upper and Lower Case letters.
begin identifying upper and lower case letters
begin writing some letters of the alphabet
 
         
  MATHEMATICS      
  Enable students to:
recognize shapes
recognize numbers 1-20 (minimum)
begin writing their numbers from 1-20
recognize their colors
begin drawing basic shapes
 
         
  ART    
 

Enable students to develop their fine and gross motor skills through the arts (crafts, music, play etc) as well as through their academic learning.

 
         
  PHYSICAL EDUCATION      
  Enable students to develop their gross motor skills through structured games. Students will also learn to follow directions.  
         
  FIELD TRIPS      
  The students will go on at least two field trips over the year.  


The Pre Kindergarten program will allow the students will build on the Beginner Program and will have the following goals:

  LANGUAGE ARTS    
 

Enable students to:
begin blending sounds together initiating the first steps in reading
learn digraphs (e.g ch, sh, ph, th, ck)
read sight words
excitement to read

 
         
  MATHEMATICS      
  Enable students to:
same as 3 year olds and
write their numbers from 20- 50
recognize their numbers from 1- 100
be able to count by twos up till 20
begin drawing their shapes
 
         
  ART    
 

Enable students to develop their fine and gross motor skills through the arts (crafts, music, play etc) as well as through their academic learning.

 
         
  PHYSICAL EDUCATION      
  Enable students to develop their gross motor skills through structured games
  Enable students to learn to follow directions.
 
         
  FIELD TRIPS      
  There will be a minimum of two field trips a year.
